President Charles J. Ping of Ohio University visited Chubu University and gave a memorial lecture. He also delivered a congratulatory address at the graduation ceremony. To commemorate the 20th anniversary of our academic exchange agreement, we planted red and white American dogwood trees in front of the bust of our founder. - March, 1994 -

Yamada International House renovations were completed in commemoration of Ohio University's 200th anniversary and 30 years of the Ohio-Chubu partnership. A "Chubu University Room" has been established inside the building. ― June, 2004 ―

Chubu University gifted additional cherry trees, bringing the total number to 200. The trees have become a symbol of Ohio University, drawing large numbers of visitors annually. ― June, 2004 ―
オハイオ大学で教鞭を執った Clifford McCarthy 教授。ご逝去の後、夫人より寄贈された終戦直後の東京を写した写真を展示した「TOKYO 1945 写真展」が行われた。全国から反響があり、自分ではないかと名乗り出た人もあった。― 2007年12月 ―
Former Ohio University Professor Clifford McCarthy. After his passing, his wife donated photos that he had taken in Tokyo following the end of World War II, and a "Tokyo 1945 Photo Exhibition" was held. Visitors came from all parts of Japan, with some even finding their own image captured in the scenes of daily life. ― December, 2007 ―
